ANNOUNCEMENTS

Welcome.to.the.Bradenton.Charter.School!

The charter school was founded in 2000 as an alternative to traditional public schools. Today's schools tend to be large and somewhat chaotic due to their populations and the problems of navigating changing classes. The Bradenton Charter School is a small school. It offers an intimate setting for students, and without sacrificing standards, focuses on the fundamentals of academics. If you're looking for a place that promotes the academic and personal achievements of its students, you may want to schedule an appointment and tour the school.

Who are the students?
Students come from all over the Manatee district and are from “all walks of life.” The school is an exceptionally good placement for children who are not reaching their full potential or who are less willing or proficient at handling the stresses of today’s classes.

Our students tend to be those who do better in smaller classes and who thrive in a smaller educational setting where they are not just numbers.

Many parents are dissatisfied with traditional schools and find us after looking for an alternative placement for their children.

The school is looking for children who can benefit from its environment. The school has high expectations for students and staff and requires that parents support the school's mission to provide a quality education for everyone.

Recognition
● In 2006, the school was honored by the State of Florida, Office of the Governor for being one of the state's top 50 combination schools (elementary and middle school).

● In 2004, the school received the State of Florida, Office of the Governor's “Florida School Recognition Award” for innovation and commitment to achieving higher academic performance for all students.

● In 2004, Principal Donnelly was nominated as “School Administrator of the Year” by the Florida African American Education Alliance.

● In 2001, Principal Donnelly received certification through LLL Licensing, Inc. for individualized programming and supervision of instruction and assessment
